. . .I’m finally getting my strength closer to what they call normal for a sixty-something guy. In celebration, at least for me, my son joined in on the song below, Eden’s Gate, which allowed me to mix it to finish. I am thankful for his input, which included all things not¬†acoustic guitar and voice.

Eden’s Gate

Between these years-spent lovers
a promise has stayed alive.
A foretaste in these ruins.
A shadow of true desire.

And in this hope of knowing
and wanting to be known,
hearts burn with the fire
of Thy kingdom come.

We long for something better,
too broken to make our own way.
The One for whom we’ve waited
and ached for most every day.

And in this hope of knowing
and wanting to be known,
hearts burn with the fire
of Thy kingdom come.

So let these lives be a song sung to You.
So let these lives return to Eden’s Gate.
So let these lives walk within Your garden.
Forgive those days we lived away. . .
Forgive those days we lived away from You.

Deep within this romance
the Word became flesh among men.
Born beneath ancient starfields
created by His own hands.
